Kendall Square Leaders Call for Action on Transportation

In the aftermath of the June 11th Red Line train derailment, it is more obvious than ever that our transportation system is not meeting our needs. Leaders across Kendall agree, and have signed on to the attached letter to Governor Baker, Senate President Spilka and Speaker DeLeo.

I Want to Get Involved

About Kendall Square Association’s Transportation Advocacy:

  • Transportation has been a top priority for the KSA since our inception in 2009 where we worked with Kendall leaders to lead in the Longfellow Bridge redesign process.
  • Our Transportation Learning Community meets monthly to explore transportation reform and innovation opportunities. Meetings include guest speakers from MassDOT, the MBTA, MIT Transit Lab, etc. KSA members are welcome to attend these meetings.
  • We recently completed a three year process that convened leaders from across Kendall in partnership with city and state officials to author the Transport Kendall report. Transport Kendall prioritizes the top transportation investments we need for Kendall to continue to thrive.
  • We are partnering with business organizations from across the Commonwealth to discuss options for raising revenue for transportation and finding solutions that work for business in Massachusetts.
  • This fall we will announce our Transportation ADVANCE campaign which will translate knowledge into action as we work with leaders like you to solve our congestion problems and meet our sustainability goals in Kendall.
