2018 Nonprofit partners

The KSA will rotate nonprofit partners every year in six categories that matter to the Kendall community. This year, our nonprofit partners are:

  • Breakthrough Greater Boston (Youth)
  • CASPAR (Homelessness)
  • Charles River Conservancy (Sustainability)
  • Food For Free (Hunger)
  • InnerCity Weightlifting (Social Inclusion)
  • Just-A-Start (Workforce Development)

The "Missions"

Challenge participants will have an array of 25 missions to choose from - but they'll have to pick and choose which play best to their team's strengths, as that's too many to fit into the tight two-hour time frame.

The missions come in three categories: (1) physical (tug-of-war, canoeing on the Charles, football toss), (2) intellectual (logic puzzles, egg drop, "robot pen"), and (3) community-building (public art projects, #KendallReads mini-library projects).

Attendees & Volunteers

The Challenge will involve 300 participants (30 teams of 10) from KSA member organizations at all levels of leadership in diverse industries, ranging from tech, biotech and pharmaceutical to startups, retail, restaurants and nonprofits.

The event will also have about 80 volunteers, to help during the two hours of competition, and help celebrate with Champions' BBQ at the awards ceremony. Please contact Alicia at if you'd like to volunteer.
