Inclusion Drives Innovation

What is Inclusion Drives Innovation?

Inclusion Drives Innovation (IDI) is a ticketed professional development program led by a professional facilitator with a practical, tactical approach to identifying and scaling up DEI best practices.

This program is a direct response to KSA members' requests for expanded programming on Diversity, Equity and Inclusion (DEI) in order to help them continue to prioritize and get smarter about the strategies they use. It is an expansion of KSA’s DEI work that began in 2018 and, in 2019 included a year-long learning journey for 17 Kendall leaders led by Civic Designers.

IDI participants will deepen their network, learn tools to measure their organization’s DEI practices, and share thoughtful, scalable ideas for creating a more inclusive workplace.

When will IDI take place?

The program will include five 90-minute sessions, tentatively scheduled as follows:

  • September 17: Introductions, group agreements, foundational overview of DEI

  • October 15 & 29: Understanding your organization’s DEI journey (organizational assessment, discussion of metrics and measurement), sharing of best practices
  • November 12: Discussion of organizational challenges, action planning, and wrap up
